my secound contents Analysis shows again the branding of the magazine clear and at the top so it is and easily noticable. They have put all the information ont he left hand side and this is usually set out this way on every copy. they have put a date in the right hand corner aswell so you know when your magaizne was realeased. there is also in the bottom corner as section which includes competition and things which are always in the magaizne. the main article is the centre of contents page to again entice its audience.

NME Contents Analysis

This is my first magazine cover analysis. This version of the contents page keeps the traditional headline of the magazine so people know what magazine it is. It keeps the same title and banner and make sure it is bold and stands out and catches the public eye. Also it has it main story or an important story in the middle of the contents page to. The contents page itself is pretty normal. The only difference is it is very jam packed and heavily written in bold. NME also unusually provide a puff for the contents page to advertise subscriptions this is on most of the contents pages.

Front Cover

Below are my finished products for my music magazine. I have constructed a Front Cover, Double Page spread and a Contents Page.
my front cover is a close up of my singer and i have used several bub headings on the side to entice the customer. i have used a bold heading to make the brand name known!

My mood board will shwos how i would like the genre for my magazine. I have mainly focused on the Indie side of the music industry and the indy type of clothing.

as paert of the research i have developed a mood board for my magaizne which help me with design ideas for the magazine. my mood board which is above shows the sterotypical of an indie magaizne which i am creating!

Double Page Spread Analysis

Double page spreads in Music Magazines are very important to the magazine label becuase they are the usual selling points of the magazines. Because people buy the Magazine to see the star or band on the fronts interview and double page spread. i have chosen to analyse the double page spread from mojo featuring the Northen Band the Doves.

The first feature on this page is a picture of the band (doves) which are focusing on there front man from a low angles which shows the band have a powerful status and also represents a crowed view of the picture.

I analysed the structure and the conventions of the article and i thought that ir showed what the reader wanted an colours and the lay out was used to the magazines advantage i also found that by the journalist reviewing the bands gig first it again was what the audience of the magazine wanted!!

The layout of the article looks like all the pictures and headlines have been launched onto the page to give a messy effect which appears to teenagers and the younger audience of the magazine. but at the same time it also appears to the old fashioned 'Rockers' who follow the doves from when they were in there prime.
